Gigging Cover band needs new Lead Guitarist
Lead Guitarist Wanted - Gigging, agency-booked cover band in need of a new lead guitarist, as current is moving out to the West Coast soon.Mostly rock-based, upbeat songlist with occasional pop or country songs as needed for specific bookings. Songs range from today to 1970's. Most gigs in Metro DC area, with infrequent gigs up to 3 hours away, approximately 3 to 4 gigs a month. Looking for: Experienced guitarist with ability in a broad range of styles. You know where the signature licks are, and play them. Self-learner who comes to rehearsals prepared to simply fine tune. Open to all genres when needed. Easy going, takes performance seriously. Must be reliable on and off stage, have own transportation and gear. Lead Guitarist/Vocalist and Drummer Wanted For Cover Band
Professional keyboardist with decades of experience and high end gear looking to start cover/vocal band to gig 2-3 times per month. Band will be highly compensated by primarily targetting the wedding and corporate event market but not performing your typical cheesy wedding band material. In other words, we will be keeping things primarily within the Classic Rock and Pop/Dance genres and on a bit of the edgier side of things. Only professional and serious minded individuals should apply. I am looking for a high energy lead guitarist who can cover signature licks and tasteful rythms, owns professional gear with state of the art effects and a kick-ass syncopated drummer who can keep the band in the pocket with an impeccable sense of meter without over playing while putting life and energy into the music. All players must be capable of singing at least backup harmonies and preferably some lead vocals. I have the practice facility with PA system and drum kit. Versatility is key and you must be able and willing to play everything from Rock, Country, and R & B, to Reggae, Blues, and Pop/Dance. You must be willing to make regular rehearsals and have the chops to cut more challenging music then your basic 3-4 chord guitar progression rock n roll. Looking for the right chemistry among players with common interest in the areas of musicianship, professionalism, great vocal talent, and an appreciation for covering songs as accurately and authentically as possible. No drugs, alcohol problems, or head cases will be tolerated. Must be highly reliable, dependable, trustworthy, extremely motivated to put in the time/effort, flexible, and willing to take direction from a music director. Reliable transportation and professional gear is an absolute must. If you consider yourself a musician's musician and have good vocal abilities to go along with your high caliber playing ability and a love for playing anything as long as its good while making a decent night's pay, please contact me right away. Charlottesville bass/guitar player looking for band
