I'm 41 years old and sing a LOT of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Issak, Waylon and a LOT more and need to join a band. Southern Maryland bar band
We are a giging band from Southern Maryland. Been playing out often and have several bars scheduling us regularly.
Full PA, lots of equipement, practice place, and starting a pretty decent fan base.
Our lead (and only) guitar player is being relocated to Seatle Wa by his company, so we are looking to get a new guitar player in and up to speed so we can keep gigs going thru the Summer.

Experienced Classic Rock Band wants work
The Unforgiven band is seeking work. We have been together for 8 years and have played at the Saloun in Georgetown every Thursday night since 2003. The Saloun lost its lease and now, we are looking for steady work. We have a large repertoire of music from the 50s to the 70s. We perform classic rock, roots rock, country and blues. We give reasonable rates. We have performed at the Glover Park Day festival for the last 4 years. Starting an all girl band.
I'm sure it's a long shot, but I've been wanting to start up a band for some time. I'm looking for a certain style and attitude, not just talent.
I'm 21 years old and I'm primarily a singer/songwriter. I also play guitar and piano. I would plan on being lead vocals.
I'd be hoping to go in a general alternative rock/light metal type of direction. But I'm not opposed to pop rock or punk rock either.There just aren't enough girl bands that rock.
I also like things to be on the darker side with an occasional gothic or industrial feel. So I could see this going in all types of ways. Depends on the group of girls I can get together.
I want girls with attitudes not just talent. Girls that stand out and have an element of the strange. The stranger the better.
Inspirations, music and style wise, as diverse as all the ones listed, think: The Birthday Massacre, Lilix, Jack off Jill, The Hellfreaks, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ayria, Flyleaf, Emilie Autumn, Bikini Kill, Otep, Lacuna Coil, Porcelain and the Tramps, The Priscillas, Helalyn Flowers, Paramore, Die Mannequin, Lyriel, The Pretty Restless,The Creepshow, Kitty in a Casket, Hey Monday, The Dirty Youth, Evenescence, The Runaways, The Veronicas, Heart, Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne, The Good Natured, Lana Del Rey, Florence + the Machine, Sick of Sarah, First Aid Kit, etc...
I want a collection of girls who have the same qualities of the lead singers in the above listed bands. The style of the Suicide Girls. But, with the voices of the above.
All members would need to be able to sing. I mean, the drummer wont be singing all the time or anything. You just have to be able.
Let me know if you're interested. I'm primarily looking for girls ages 18-28 but I'm open to whoever. 16+ with parent permission is fine, but that makes the venues we could play a much shorter list.
I write music, but other girls that have songwriting abilities are always a plus.
