Waking April Needs a drummer

We have 5 songs 2 which we recently recorded and is more the style were aiming to keep (Find your way, Everytime Ive Fallen). We have a rehearsal spot for tryouts. - The band also does some popular cover songs, but is not a "cover band".
Doing regular, live shows every week (1-3 shows/week) since 2010.
On hold until the percussion issue is resolved.
This a very marketable, current, authentic, original band, with a slightly "Retro-Funk" sound.
These are outstanding rock, pop, funk and blues originals; written and delivered by outstanding performers. The band members are very experienced, skilled, and have true stage-presence.
Need a drummer who is on the same level, to be an equal part of the "core" of the band.

The rhythm section is the backbone of the music. Meaning - the bass guitar and kick drum pattern are the core of each piece, and the primary focus in rehearsal. It is a very thorough and meticulous process, and very exhausting for most drummers. But well worth the effort.
The band rehearses a lot, and always with click tracks. Always working to develop the groove and pocket of each piece, and to achieve perfect tempo and dynamic control in live shows.
The willingness and ability to rehearse and drill, excessively, is crucial to developing the sound and style of the live performance.
The willingness and ability to be responsible for many other administrative aspects of running a successful organization is also a must.
Sacrifice and humility play a big part in this.
Confidence and determination do, as well.
We set goals and achieve them as a unit.
This is a team effort with a singular intent.
It is a full-time job with no guaranteed pay rate.

Hello, my name is Gus. I am 21 years old. I have played shows with big bands including A Day To Remember, Less Than Jake, Mettalica, The Bled, and many more. I have been playing guitar for about 8 years now and i have about 5 years of band experience. I have plenty of experience playing on stage. My last band (we draw the tide) was a postcore band, they had to move to flagstaff for school so that was that.
So I am looking for a band that needs a guitarist/writer. I have a lot of music that im about ready to put to work. I doubt I will find anyone on this site that lives in the Tucson area but its worth a shot.
