Here’s a trio of tantalizing videos from the Ska rock reggae band from Ljubljana, Slovenia - Intimn Frizurn. This band is the best thing to come out of the Ex-Yugoslavia since The Bambi Molestors (a seriously cool surf rock band from Croatia who once toured with U2). Intimn Frizurn remind me a bit of early Madness crossed with 311 with a dose of The Fall and The The tossed in for good measure - that’s a wicked combination. If you’re a fan of eclectic bands, you’re going to love Intimn Frizurn.

If you’re a guitarist and you’re wondering if you should give up the guitar because you think you suck, you definitely shouldn’t watch this video of Edgar Cruz playing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody on a classical acoustic guitar. It will make you cry, then smash your guitar in futility that you can’t play like this. Definitely one of the most utterly amazing solo guitar performances I’ve seen since I saw Steve Howe of Yes playing solo over a decade ago.

The best part of this video is Mr. Cruz presents a thorough explaination of the chords and techniques used in this performance at the end of the video. This lesson is definitely for the advanced guitarist and should not be attempted unless you want to put your head through a wall in grief.

This is a beautiful piece of solo guitar work by John Mayer. Listen how he sets up the delay/sampler/loop in the background to play the solos over. John Mayer just blows me away and I’m not a huge fan of the blues !!
